The warts

Characterized by skin growths, warts are caused by the papillomavirus, which develops in the epidermis. Several forms of warts exist, although the most common are common and plantar warts. They usually appear on the hands and feet and can be painful and contagious. Fortunately, natural remedies can treat them! 

 

What natural remedies? 

Honey 

Having antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties, honey promotes wound healing, acts as a protective barrier against pathogens, repairs and regenerates the skin. This is why it is recommended to apply a thick layer on the wart, to cover with a clean cloth then to leave it on for a whole day. Finally, rinse and clean the area then repeat the operation every day, until the wart has completely disappeared. 

Garlic 

Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, garlic is particularly effective in case of warts. Indeed, a report concerning garlic in dermatology, carried out by Nader Payzar and Amir Feily of the dermatological department of the Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (Iran), showed that the topical application of garlic is beneficial in the treatment. warts because it inhibits the proliferation of cells infected by the virus in view of its content of allicilin, phenolic acids and flavonoids. To use it, simply chop some garlic and apply it to the wart then cover with a bandage overnight. The next day, clean and dry the affected area cleanly. Note that garlic can be irritating, which is why it should not be used on the surrounding area. 

Skin tags 

Skin tags are skin growths that are found in the folds of the skin. These small benign tumors do not have exact causes for their appearance. They usually do not cause any complications, although they are disturbing in that they are unsightly. The treatment involves cauterization, cryotherapy or surgery, but natural tricks can overcome it.

What natural remedies? 

Tea tree oil 

Tea tree oil is composed of monoterpenols, biochemical assets that promote the elimination of pathogens. It is therefore given antibacterial, antiseptic and cleansing properties that are effective in the treatment of skin conditions including skin tags. For the latter, it allows them to dry out, while disinfecting the area, so that they fall on their own. To use it, just take a cotton ball, soak it in water and then add 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil. Apply to the skin tag for one to two weeks, until it comes off. However, be sure to always use diluted tea tree oil (with water or vegetable oil) to avoid a skin reaction. 

Apple cider vinegar

Being a natural antibacterial and disinfectant, apple cider vinegar helps regulate the pH of the skin and participates in cell renewal thanks to its content of amino acids, pectin and antioxidants including beta-carotene. In addition, in view of its astringent virtues, it allows skin tags to be dried out and eliminated. Apply it with a cotton ball on the tag for several days, until it comes off on its own. Note that in case of sensitive skin or a particular skin disease, it is better to take the advice of your doctor before using this remedy. 

Brown spots

Caused by acne scars, skin aging, hormones or exposure to the sun , brown spots are linked to an overproduction of melanin. They appear mainly on the hands, face and shoulders and are often a source of complexes. Although creams exist to reduce these dark spots, it is better to turn to natural remedies!

What natural remedies? 

The lemon 

Rich in citric acid and antioxidants, lemon eliminates toxins present in the body which accelerate the skin aging process. With its antimicrobial and astringent properties that give it a natural whitening power, it helps reduce dark spots. Apply to the spots with a cotton ball soaked in lemon juice. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse and apply a moisturizing lotion. Do this whitening treatment once or twice a week and preferably in the evening because the lemon has a photosensitizing effect. 

The aloe vera

Promoting cell regeneration, aloe vera is particularly effective in preventing and combating skin conditions such as dark spots. Indeed, this plant contains vitamin E and antioxidants which promote the elimination of free radicals at the origin of skin aging. To benefit from it, apply the gel of this plant on the brown spots, leave on for about fifteen minutes then rinse.
